When should I arrive?
For a relaxed experience, please arrive 10 minutes before your booking begins.
What should I wear?
You're welcome to wear any clothing that is appropriate to the weather.
Where are you located?
Rotor One is located at Hangar 7 at Essendon Airport (click for directions) and off-street parking is available.
Why do I need to provide my weight?
We use this to calculate the weight and balance of the helicopter prior to flight. If you have any guests weighing over 100kg or a combined passenger weight of more than 250kg, please contact us prior to booking.
Do I need to be double vaccinated to fly?
Yes, we require all guests to show proof of their Covid vaccinations upon arrival.
Can I use my camera or phone during flight?
Yes, we encourage you to take as many photos and videos on the ground, and in the air, as possible.
Can I bring any luggage?
Light handbags and small backpacks weighing less than 5kg can be carried. For any larger items please contact us prior to your flight.
Can bad weather prevent us from flying?
Yes, adverse weather conditions such as low cloud, fog, heavy rain or high winds may require your flight to be delayed or rescheduled. If this is the case, your pilot will call you at least 2 hours prior to your flight.
My weather app says it's going to rain. Should I reschedule?
Weather forecasts on Google and Apple weather are often inaccurate. We receive live weather data from the BoM and use this to make a "Go" or "No Go" decision on the day of your flight. If bad weather is forming, we'll call you at least 2 hours prior to make changes to your flight — There's no need to reschedule ahead of time.

Are there age restrictions for children?
We only recommend flights for children over the age of 5.
Can I fly if I'm pregnant?
Yes, and ideally prior to your third trimester.
Can I fly if I'm in a wheelchair?
Yes, our hangar is wheelchair-accessible and we warmly welcome passengers with special needs. Please contact us if you have any questions.
