The Ultimate Hunter Valley Brewery Tour and Pub Crawl
The Hunter Valley is home to many wineries, distilleries, and craft breweries. Your Hunter Valley pub crawl has been designed around two of the regions most highly regarded beer venues and one of the area's best wineries.
Your day starts with a 45 minute private helicopter ride out of Sydney airport. You’ll fly north along the Central Coast over the beautiful Northern Beaches of New South Wales. After your scenic flight, you’ll make three private landings at IronBark Hill Brewery, Binbadgen Estate, and 4 Pines Brewing Co.
If a coastal helicopter ride wasn’t already enough, this Hunter Valley pub crawl is all about a full day trip where you visit multiple Hunter Valley breweries and wineries, so you can try some of the crispest, most unique, and famous beers that the polkolbin locals themselves drink, along with some fragrant wines and high-end dishes to strike a wonderful balance.
If you want to try great beer with many flavours, as well as some of the most highly renowned Australian wine and fare, then this Hunter Valley brewery tour by helicopter is the only private tour for you when you are traveling with a large group, taking your mates out for the day or creating a special afternoon for your partner.
🍺 Pale Ales at IronBark Hill
IronBark Hill Brewhouse, nestled in the heart of Hunter Valley, is the first stop on your helicopter pub crawl. Known for its craft beers, including pale ales, IPAs, and stouts brewed on-site, this venue offers a fantastic tasting experience.
As part of your tour, you’ll enjoy a flight over the Central Coast before landing at IronBark Hill to sample beer paddles featuring four exclusive brews.
IronBark Hill in Australia has a great selection of craft beers that are sure to impress. Their American Pale Ale is a popular choice, known for its perfect balance of hop bitterness and refreshing citrus notes, making it a go-to for anyone who enjoys a crisp, easy-drinking beer.
If you're after something with a bit more punch, the IronBark Hill IPA delivers with bold tropical fruit aromas and a hoppy finish that IPA fans will love.
For those who like something richer, the Black Forest Stout is a real treat, featuring delicious chocolate and cherry flavours that bring to mind a Black Forest cake. Whether you’re into light and refreshing or deep and indulgent, IronBark Hill has something for everyone.
The rustic yet modern venue also includes a cellar door showcasing Shiraz, Semillon, and other local wines. With wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers, and live music enhancing the atmosphere, IronBark Hill has a perfect blend of good vibes, delicious food, and exceptional beer.

The second stop on this crawl is Bimbadgen estate, where you'll have an upscale lunch and some of the Estate's best wines to match. A lunch at Esca Bimbadgen is a full on sensory experience high above the Hunter Valley with vineyard views and award winning wines poured tableside. Your afternoon might start with a glass of estate Blanc de Blancs as you’re welcomed into the stunning glass fronted dining room suspended above the winery.
From there, dishes unfold in elegant succession: maybe zucchini flowers with risotto gorgonzola, then king brown mushroom potato gratin or spanner crab crumpet with romesco and shallots.
For the main event, options like grilled market fish with chermoula or confit duck leg are designed to match the local varietals. The “Feed Me” tasting menu has the full range of Esca’s seasonal creativity and is even better with optional wine pairings that showcase Bimbadgen’s best drops, such as aged Semillon and perfumed Shiraz from the Palmers Lane vineyard.
Service is polished but relaxed with staff well versed in food and wine and often sharing stories from behind the scenes with winemaker Richard Done.
🍺 Craft Beer Tasting at Pine Brewing
4 Pines Brewing Co. is the third stop on the pub crawl, and has a lively fun atmosphere with a great range of craft beers. Known for its rotating selection of lagers, pale ales, and seasonal brews 4 Pines focuses on fresh small batch production that celebrates local flavours.

About Hunter Valley Pubs
The cool thing about hunter valley pubs is that they are extremely versatile, as there are plenty of different pubs to visit. Hunter valley tours offer unique experiences through brewery and wine tours in the Hunter Valley region, allowing visitors to explore award-winning wineries and craft breweries.
IronBark Hill Brewery
For instance, if we are talking about the IronBark Hill Brewery, this isn't just a brewery, because it's also home to the Peter Drayton Wines Cellar Door and Wildstreak Distillery.
It’s also home to the Wildstreak Pizzeria and Kitchen, showcasing just how versatile of a venue it is. Of course, it is all about beer, which you can clearly see when you get to experience the custom-built German brewing system firsthand. In fact, the first beers at IronBark were brewed in this special system back in 2016.
Bimbadgen Estate
Bimbadgen Estate is one of the Hunter Valley’s most famous winery destinations, with award winning wines, modern architecture, and stunning views of Pokolbin. The name “Bimbadgen” comes from the local Indigenous word meaning “place of good view” and it lives up to its name with a striking bell tower, elevated cellar door, and a hillside position overlooking vineyards that stretch to the Brokenback Range.
Bimbadgen’s winemaking history goes back to 1968, withthe historic Palmers Lane vineyard producing outstanding Semillon and Shiraz every year. Visit the cellar door for a premium tasting, relax in the Courtyard Café, or indulge in fine dining at the award winning Esca restaurant. it also also hosst major music events, private functions, and weddings making it a true destination for wine lovers and those who like trying the finer things in life.
4 Pines Brewing Co
We then have the 4 Pines Brewing Co, which interestingly enough got its name because there were four pine trees removed from Manly’s foreshore promenade and replaced with machine guns, and this brewery is named in honour of those trees.
It might just be a small boutique micro-brewery, but it's been open since 2006 and has been making award-winning beers ever since. What really stands out about this brewery is that it and its friendly staff are dedicated to keeping our planet green and clean, something that we can all appreciate.
Historic Aussie Pubs
The Hunter Valley is home to some of Australia’s most historic and iconic pubs, each with its own unique character and charm. From the Wollombi Tavern, which dates back to 1836, to the Settlers Arms Inn, which has been serving up fine ales and wines since 1836.

What an amazing experience!! 🚁💯‼️ 🤯 Had the privilege of flying over Sydney 🇦🇺 👀🤙🏽 What a view from up so high. Thanks Rotor One and team for making the experience so exciting and being so accommodating on this trip! Will definitely be looking you up again when I’m in Melbourne for another amazing flight over a different city 🏙!! 😉🤯🚁💯‼️

Amazing experience. I flew my wife and daughter family around Sydney Harbour on a helicopter ride. I felt safe and comfortable in the air conditioned chopper. There was a short safety briefing at the start, and the highlight was definitely seeing Sydney from above.

It was a really great experience for both of us. Big thanks to Rotor One and Ed for making it one of the best memories of our lifetime.
