What to Expect from the Moreton, Stradbroke, and Tangalooma Wrecks Helicopter Tour
First, you'll board an air-conditioned helicopter with a whisper-quiet cabin, extra legroom, and huge windows. This is where the fun starts, and right when you lift off is when the awesome views start coming into sight.
You’ll begin with views of the Brisbane CBD, where the city meets the Brisbane River. You’ll pass the Gateway Bridges and the Port of Brisbane before heading out to the coastline. As the city disappears behind you, Moreton Bay comes into view.
Next, you’ll be flying over Moreton Island, one of the biggest sand islands in the world. From above, the sand dunes look amazing in the daylight spot, and you'll likely see Mount Tempest, the island’s largest sand dune.
Keep an eye out for the Cape Moreton Lighthouse on the northern tip and Blue Lagoon tucked inland as well, as these are both sights worth seeing too.
Further south, you’ll fly over the Tangalooma Wrecks, one of the biggest highlights of this tour. From the air, these sunken ships appear just below the surface of the water, creating a stunning pattern in the turquoise water, something that looks even better at low tide.
It’s also a great sanctuary for marine life, so keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles, fish, whales, and manta rays swimming through the clear shallows - you might even see some people snorkelling too.
Next, you’ll fly over North Stradbroke Island, where you’ll pass over Amity Point and the calm waters surrounding it.
The island is full of colour, from the deep green of the native forests to the crystal blues of Brown Lake and Blue Lake. Along the coast, Point Lookout is all about rugged cliffs, and Frenchman’s Beach and Cylinder Beach showcase untouched stretches of sand.
On the way back, you’ll take in views of Redcliffe Peninsula, Cleveland Point, and Wellington Point, all rich in coastline beauty and dotted with boats and picnic spots.
This isn’t just a sightseeing tour - it’s about seeing Queensland’s coastal sights from a fresh and unforgettable angle. From sparkling wrecks to rolling dunes and vibrant marine life, every moment in the air is something new to enjoy - and it looks particularly attractive at sunset!

What an amazing experience!! 🚁💯‼️ 🤯 Had the privilege of flying over Sydney 🇦🇺 👀🤙🏽 What a view from up so high. Thanks Rotor One and team for making the experience so exciting and being so accommodating on this trip! Will definitely be looking you up again when I’m in Melbourne for another amazing flight over a different city 🏙!! 😉🤯🚁💯‼️

Amazing experience. I flew my wife and daughter family around Sydney Harbour on a helicopter ride. I felt safe and comfortable in the air conditioned chopper. There was a short safety briefing at the start, and the highlight was definitely seeing Sydney from above.

It was a really great experience for both of us. Big thanks to Rotor One and Ed for making it one of the best memories of our lifetime.
