You're invited to Australia's most exciting and interactive wildlife experience at Walkabout Wildlife Park near Sydney, which is home to some of Australia’s most iconic wildlife.

Your adventure begins with spectacular aerial views of Sydney Harbour including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the Northern beaches, on your 30-minute coastal flight to Walkabout Wildlife Park on Sydney’s Central Coast.

Upon landing at Walkabout Wildlife Park, you’ll be escorted inside where your personal Guide (and Park Ranger) will be waiting to take you on a private guided tour with amazing Australian wildlife and explain the park's rich 4,000 year history as an Aboriginal cultural site.

What to expect - Australian Wildlife Experience at Walkabout Wildlife Park

What makes Walkabout Wildlife Park so unique is many of the animals roam freely, so you’re very likely to encounter kangaroos, koalas, emus, wombats and dingos during your tour. Your guide will help you safely get up-close with these amazing wildlife on your tour and, if their mood permits, you‘ll have the opportunity to snap a photo together.

You can also learn about ancient Australia during your private tour with some unique experiences available to Rotor One guests including a mini bush walk to an ancient Aboriginal cave, learning about bush tucker and bush medicine, and learning how to throw a boomerang (you'll be able to request these experience with your booking after clicking 'Book Now').

Walkabout Wildlife Park is also special for its role in the conservation of endangered Australian wildlife. The park has a special breed-to-release program, nursing several endangered species to release them back into the wild to help repopulate areas of the Australian bush. All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to supporting this program, so you’ll be playing a direct role in helping regenerate Australia’s endangered wildlife.

Your magical Walkabout Wildlife Park adventure concludes with another stunning scenic flight back to Sydney, this time via Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Manly, Bondi Beach and Coogee, touching down at Sydney Airport.

You have the option to flying straight back to Sydney, or taking a coastal detour for a seafood lunch with cocktails at one of the Central Coast’s best waterfront lunch spots, 8 at Trinity.

🎟️ Important Booking Information

Where are you located?

Rotor One is located at Sydney Airport which is 20 minutes from Sydney CBD by car. Your departure point will either be 462 Ross Smith Ave, Mascot or 472 Ross Smith Ave, Mascot depending on your flight. Please refer to your booking confirmation email for your departure location. Both locations have off-street parking available.

When should I arrive?

Please ensure you arrive 30 minutes before your booking begins for a relaxed experience.

When does the free bus transfer depart from the city? (Select flights only)

Certain scenic flights include an optional bus transfer. If you've requested this with your booking, your bus will depart 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to your booked flight time from Park Royal Darling Harbour and Sir Stamford Circular Quay. For example, if your flight time is 10:30am, please ensure you're at your requested pickup point by 9:15am. After your flight, your bus will drop you back to Circular Quay.

Why do I need to provide my weight?

We use this to calculate the weight and balance of the helicopter prior to flight. Please contact us in the event any single guest weights over 130kg (290lb) or, for a shared flight, if any two guests weigh more than 180kg (400lb) combined.

What is the minimum age requirement for children?

Children aged 2 years and older can fly. Our pilots will give them special attention to ensure they have an amazing time. All children will occupy their own seat and pay the same seat price (we don't offer discounts for children as we make sure they have even more fun than the adults 😁)

Can bad weather prevent us from flying?

Yes, adverse weather conditions such as low cloud, fog, heavy rain or high winds may require your flight to be delayed or rescheduled. If this is the case, your pilot will contact you at least 2 hours prior to your booking time to reschedule your flight. If your flight cannot go ahead due to bad weather and you wish to cancel, we'll provide a full refund minus any credit card processing fees we've paid on your behalf.

Google says there might be bad weather on the day. Should I reschedule?

There's no need to contact us to reschedule based on a weather forecast as they're often inaccurate! We use live weather data on the day of your flight to determine if flights can be conducted safely.

Can I use my camera or phone during flight?

Yes, we encourage you to take as many photos and videos on the ground, and in the air, as possible.

What should I wear?

Please bring a pair of sunglasses and you're welcome to wear clothing appropriate to the weather. We do recommend a wind-breaker jacket on cooler or windy days to keep your warm.

Can I bring any luggage?

Handbags, small backpacks or duffel bags weighing less than 10kg and less than 60cm in length can be carried. Its essential all baggage is soft and compact as it must fit in a small baggage compartment under your seat. We're not able to carry any rigid suitcases or airplane carry-on size rolling luggage.

Can I fly if I'm pregnant?

Yes, however we recommend flying prior to your third trimester.

Can I fly if I'm in a wheelchair?

Yes, our hangar is wheelchair-accessible and we warmly welcome passengers with special needs, as long as a carer accompanies them on their flight. Please note we unfortunately cannot assist with lifting disabled guests into our aircraft for OH&S reasons.

☔ Bad Weather & Cancellation Policy

What happens if there's bad weather on the day of my flight?

  • We really want you to enjoy your experience, so we only fly when the weather allows a safe and comfortable flight. If there's bad weather (low cloud, heavy rain, high winds) on the day, we may need to delay or reschedule your flight. We’ll work with you to choose a new date, or allow you to reschedule at your convenience.
  • If your flight cannot go ahead due to bad weather or an operational issue and you wish to cancel, we'll provide a full refund minus any credit card processing fees we've paid on your behalf..

    Can I reschedule or cancel my booking if my plans change?

    • You can reschedule or cancel up to 72 hours before departure. If you choose to cancel, we'll provide you with a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee.

    Are Buy Now, Book Later and Gift Vouchers refundable?

    • Buy Now, Book Later and Gift voucher purchases are non-refundable, valid for 3 years, and can be used towards any flight across all our locations.
