Sunrise & Doors-Off Helicopter Ride over Melbourne (Special Flight)
🕙 DURATION: 1 hour
🚁 FLIGHT TIME: 30 minutes
👩🏻💼 PASSENGERS: 1 - 3
Overview — Experience a spectacular Melbourne sunrise on a special Helicopter Flight with no doors!
Inspired by one of Melbourne's best content creators @whereiskapa, this is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Melbourne City skyline and coastal beaches during a special helicopter flight at sunrise and with no doors!
Expect spectacular views and amazing scenery as the sun rises over Melbourne on your 30 minute doors-off helicopter ride around Melbourne CBD and down the coast flying over St Kilda Pier, Luna Park and the iconic Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes.
There is no other helicopter flight like this in Melbourne where you can experience an open cockpit while flying low and slow “military-style” over Melbourne’s city, coast and beaches with unobstructed views from every seat.
Aerial photography at sunrise is amazing from a helicopter and, on certain days, you might be lucky enough to see hot air balloons as they float over the city. Melbourne is the ONLY major city in the world that allows hot air balloons to fly overhead and you’ll have the same amazing views without having to wake up at 3:00am for a hot air balloon flight!
This special sunrise helicopter experience showcases Melbourne in a way that very few people ever get to experience, making it perfect as a birthday or anniversary gift, or the foundation for a stunning aerial photography shoot to capture Melbourne in beautiful morning light.
Please note that sunrise flights are limited and only a handful of seats are available every month on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our flight was so awesome and Ed our pilot was amazing! Highly recommend for a wonderful adventure!
What a great day from start to finish and a way to kick off 2022!
With so many Heli winery trips out there i was waiting to find one that was a little more relaxed and different so was thrilled to see the Brewery, Burgers & Gin tour! From the moment i contacted Rotor One to ask some questions and book, their customer service and communication was great, friendly and always helpful which made the decision to spend this money a lot easier knowing we would be in great hands. Each venue looked after us well and our pilot made sure personally that our day was running smoothly. Definitely felt like VIP's for the day with Rotor One as well as all the other venues we visits.
Our pilot Ed was awesome! Went above and beyond all day to ensure we had a great trip. He was very friendly and easy to get along with. He is a great pilot, the flight was so smooth and flawless. Ed was attentive and knowledgeable and able to point out a lot of sights along our flight. He is a pure natural and helps make the experience what it is.
You will not be disappointed, It was a day to remember!
We have just had the bay tour, just over an hour flying past the city and completely around the bay, what an experience. I would highly recommend Melbourne Heli for their professional approach, very clear and friendly instructions at the start and made us both feel very comfortable during the entire flight, amazing experience.
This flight experience was a gift of our wedding anniversary. It was a great decision and wow, what an amazing experience.
The pilot was very kind and gave us plenty of time for photos, we are very happy with our photos, thanks to the pilot (Ed) for the couple photos and for a smooth and stress free flight experience. We would do it again in the future.
Flight experience itself looks short when you are up in the sky so defiantly would recommend at least half an hour flight.
For a first time flier, Ed was super friendly and really put me at ease. He was thorough in his explanations and made sure to let me know in advance if there were any sharp turns. We had such a magical time and the views were amazing! It was so much fun and we got to see so many iconic Melbourne landmarks. Would definitely recommend and could see myself doing this again! Thanks Ed!
